Malaysian Red Crescent youth members from institutions of higher learning in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor gathered at the MRCS National Headquarters for the #Youth4Rights awareness talk programme on human rights and the rights of youth.
The programme, organised jointly by SUHAKAM (Human Rights Commission of Malaysia) and MRCS highlighted some of the basic human rights issues and how RC youth can contribute by taking actions in reporting cases of human rights violation through proper channels and how SUHAKAM is able to assist in protecting the rights of vulnerable communities.
MRCS Secretary General Dato’ Sayed Rahman addressed the opening session and thanked SUHAKAM for the initiative. SUHAKAM was represented by its Secretary, Dr. Jessie Cheah.
Our grateful thanks to all present, particularly youth members of the MRCS KL and Selangor branches, presenters from SUHAKAM and staff of MRCS who contributed towards the success of the half day programme held at the MRCS Brunsfield Hall at Lengkok Belfield.
