The first Secretary General of the Malaysian Red Crescent, Datuk Datin Paduka Ruby Lee, 82, passed away peacefully at her home in Section 5, Petaling Jaya.

The funeral service will be held at St. Mary's Anglican Cathedral, Jalan Raja (Dataran Merdeka) on June 17 at 11 am.

The wake will be from 10am to 10pm on both June 15 and 16 at the Nirvana Memorial Centre.

Her eldest son, Michael Lee expressed his gratitude to the many Malaysians and people of all nationalities who had been part of his mother's mission.

Datuk Datin Paduka Ruby Lee is survived by husband Datuk Douglas K.K Lee, children Michael, Kenny and Janet; daughters and son in-law Phyllis Chan, Noor Salasawati and Sonny Lim, and four grandchildren.
